About the event
Let’s party like it's 1927!
An evening of celebration, silent film, and live vaudeville, with your hosts Bill Richardson and Maestro Bramwell Tovey.
A tribute to 90 years of entertainment! Join us for a roaring 20s themed birthday bash to celebrate the iconic Orpheum.
You’ll experience live entertainment honouring the Orpheum’s beginnings, including a taste of vaudeville from local acts and silent film classics accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer and grand piano.
Your Masters of Ceremonies, author and former CBC radio host Bill Richardson and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Maestro Bramwell Tovey, will paint a picture of the Orpheum’s history, and set the stage for us to party like it’s 1927.
