2017-18 Season

It has been a whirlwind of changes since the end of Summer. Lots of update and news to Phoenix Music Studio. Starting fall 2017, the studio lesson slots are officially all filled up! Lots of new and young talent surfacing among the students that will be seen in the studio concerts later on this year. Several concert/events to keep an eye out on is the BCRMTA - Richmond Branch's Canada 150th which will be held on November 19th. Students are working hard on the 'O Canada' ensemble as well as the festivals that will be coming up later in the year.

For instructor Tina Wang, she started her artist diploma at Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) in September, studying with Michael Morimoto. Since start of September, she has been actively engaged with a few of the community schools with band clinics and workshops. Early October, she did a saxophone workshop with the Point Grey Secondary at Loon Lake, as well as Kitsilano Secondary. Tina has also started performing in community concerts with a few of the local bands, as well as the Sax Noir saxophone Quartet. You can find out more about events and details on the concert page!
